Personal Bio:I was born on January 26th, and I am currently nineteen years old. I am from a town called Granville that is about twenty-five minutes east of Columbus. I went to a small Catholic school about five minutes from me called Newark Catholic. During my years there I played football for four years, wrestled for four years and ran track for two years quitting after I broke my nose playing dodge ball. I'm currently a sophomore at The University of Cincinnati, but after last semester I switched out of Pre-Physical Therapy to Exploratory, and I am currently taking [[#|classes]] that are required for Early-Childhood Education. I enjoy being able to hanging out with my friends and roommates when I can and being able to go to the Cincinnati football and basketball games.

Professional Goals:
I choose to take classes that take classes that are required for Early-Childhood Education because I have always been good with little kids, which is large to due the fact that I have a lot of younger cousins and I have watched them many times. My goal after I graduate is to become a teacher and after a few years get a masters and one day become a principal.

Goals For this Class:
My Goals for this class is to use the knowledge I already have about technology and figure out how to involve it in the everyday classroom. I also want to gain new knowledge about technology as well so I can help give students a better environment to learn in.

Educational Game:Sample 1

Risk description:
Risk is a game that can be played with 2-6 people at one time. There is 42 territories divided over six continents and each player is designated an equal amount of territories. Then each person get an equal number of armies based on how many players there are and they strategically place the armies based on where they want to attack the most, and each territory a person has must have at least one army. The different players will take turns rolling the dice, the attacker gets three dice and the defender gets two and each person has to get a certain number to either attack or to defeat the attacker, and The last person remaining is the winner of the game.
Enhance Education:
This game can help enhance the classroom because it no longer is just a bored game it is also available online and on an ipad in which students can link to each other through Wi-Fi and play against each other. This gives the students the chance to interact and use technology like a computer or an Ipad and they can learn how to then use those items to expand the ability by which they can learn.
Connection:
Not only can this can be used to help a student become more acquainted with technology but it can also be used to help teach the students about some lessons. I could use this game to help teach the students about the geography of the world and can use it to help them learn about where the continents are and I can build off that teaching them about each country in each continent. Also I can use it to help teach some math because when the students roll the dice and if the attacker rolls a certain number he can attack but based on what he rolls he has to add up how many of the defenders armies he can defeat with that attack. So there are many connections I could use to help incorporate this game within the classroom it just depends on which way I feel like using it for.

Photo Voice: Sample 2

http://www.glogster.com/edit/g-6l0i3vkut2kkumbpfrp3raHere we created a digital poster to teach people about the amount of money it takes to run a typical classroom today. The standard that this connects to would be the third one because we created a digital collage to show the use of technology in a classroom and how much it cost instead of using a standard poster. We wanted to use something different that people don't always think of using and that's exactly what we did here. Ways that this demonstrates the use of technology in the future classroom is that instead of having a student make a typical poster board to present with they could make a glogtser and pull it up on a projector and present it to the class.

Why I want to become a Teacher : Sample 3

This is a video I made during class one day that discusses why I want to become a teacher one day and why this class will help me make use of technology in that classroom. The standard that this video would connect to is the first one because as a teacher they could have their students make a video like this one for a reflection and submit it to the teacher rather than write a written reflection which most students don't find much interest in. This idea could be used a couple different in the future classroom and one of those ways is like I said with the reflection on something another way is a teacher can pre-record a video and present to the class as part of their lesson plan or record their lesson and put it on youtube for students to watch later.

Fair Use Collage: Sample 4

Our collage represents our ideas for fair use and what it means to use images legally. This collage is a fun way to teach people about fair use in [[#|education]] using technology. We used Bob the Builder to help demonstrate that users need to build upon the ideas of the images. They need to expand and explain for more than the original intent of the photo. The classroom photo shows that images under fair use can be used for educational purposes. Again, expanding upon and integrating new information through the existing images. We used seasons and the bumblebee picture to show that material needs to be used in a more elaborate and transformed way. Overall, if you don't elaborate or build upon the image than it is considered plagiarism which is theft! This connects to standard 4 because it promotes and models digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information.

This is collage that we created when we were talking about we thought about the fair usage policy and what our definition of fair use was. The technology standard that the photovisi would connect to is the third one because it talks communicating information through technology which is exactly what we did with this project because we communicated our view of fair use to the class with in this collage. One way this could be used in the future classroom is a teacher could create or have the students create a presentation in which they want to create a poster or collage kind of like glogster.

Grading Rubric For Digital Portfolio: Sample 5
Here we had the chance to create our own online rubric so we could suggest about how we wanted our digital portfolio to be graded and what aspects about it would like the teacher to focus on. A technology standard that this could connect to possibly is the first about promoting creativeness because with this a teacher could have a student do a project and be as creative as they want and then have them use this rubric so the teacher knows what to focus on when grading. This idea could be used in a future classroom pretty much in that same way so instead of the teacher having all the say the he could make it more focused on the students and their strengths.
